B-House - Believe in B-House
Be all you can be... Believe, Become, B-House!
The Woodside Writing Center had its Grand Re-Opening on October 8 in room B121 and is now open for students! In order to use the Woodside Writing Center, students need to arrive by 2:30. They will register with Mrs. McHugh by filling out a form to describe the assignment on which they are working and then they will be assigned a writing consultant. This consultant is there to edit, advise and help student develop their ideas. Mrs. McHugh solicits copies of assignment sheets and rubrics to keep on file for student reference. After students have attended the Writing Center, a verification slip is put in the mailbox of the teacher whose assignment was peer-evaluated. Writing consultants will keep a style sheet with comments to keep track of the writing strengths and weakness they observe. Mrs. McHugh furnishes this report to the English Department monthly. The Writing Center's motto is "We won't steal your struggle, but we will help."
