FOR PARENTS AND STUDENTS
Opening in 1996, Woodside High School is a member of the Virginia High School League, competes in the Eastern Region and the Peninsula District.
The mission of Woodside athletics is to promote participation and sportsmanship in a competitive interscholastic program and aid in the physical and emotional development of our student athletes. Every athlete is provided with opportunities and experiences to foster lifelong qualities such as teamwork and self-discipline. A student’s participation in athletics enhances their skill for living and learning by offering different learning experiences outside the classroom.The NNPS Athletic Handbook is an invaluable tool covering all aspects of athletics at Woodside and should answer most of your questions including an explanation of the NNPS 2.0 grade point policy.
In order to try out for a team all athletes must have a current physical submitted on the VHSL Physical Form.

Schedules Athletic History We are very proud of our athletic history here at Woodside which includes 15 District Championships, 17 District Tournament Championships, five Regional Championships, as well as a State Championships in Softball in 2001 and back-to-back State Championships in Boys Basketball in 2004 & 2005.
